What a 48-Hour Fast Taught Me About Overstimulation, Chaos, and My Human Design

It started with a fast.

Not just from food — though I am 48 hours in and honestly feeling more clear than hungry.


This fast was about something deeper. I knew my body needed a reset… but I didn’t expect what would bubble up from my nervous system, my patterns, and my past.


So I pulled back. From food. From social media. From the noise, chaos, overstimulation, and calamity p


And what I met in the silence was a version of myself that only knew how to operate at full tilt — in/from chaos.! How did I not see this before?🤔



I used to think I was just “motivated.”


Driven. On it. Always moving, creating, responding.


But I was calibrated to “edge “ energy — survival mode. I didn’t even realize how deeply I’d been sourcing my momentum from chaos, reactivity, and nervous system hypervigilance… because it was just how I functioned.


It had worked for so long. Until it didn’t.

Until I hit that internal ceiling where no amount of pushing moved the needle — because the program I was running was out of alignment with who I wanted to become.



Then I reopened a program I’d purchased a while back.


No big expectations, just curiosity.

But suddenly… the lessons were landing in a completely different way. Why?


Becausethis time, I saw them through the lens of Human Design.

And once again — HD remains undefeated.

Gate 36. Gate 6. Both emotional. Both rooted in friction, conflict, crisis energy.


Both lived in my body as an addiction to chaos.

One of the program modules said this:


“You get uncomfortable when things are calm.”


“You self-sabotage when success feels too safe.”


“You replay scenarios over and over — not because you're strategic, but because your body doesn’t trust peace.”

And just like that, it clicked.


My nervous system had equatedsafetywithtension.


And peace — the very thing I’ve been craving — felt threatening.!! Ugh 😑


How do you even begin to rewire that?


Fasting was an access point.

Symbolic. Physical. Spiritual.

Removing food, distraction, stimulation, the scroll — it gave my system a chance to downshift.


And in that stillness, I could finally feel thedifferencebetween aligned energy and reactionary energy.


I’ve spent years studying motivation, energy, trauma, astrology, and Human Design. But this week, it stopped being academic. It got embodied.


The Human Design Tie-In:

Understanding your energetic blueprint is everything.

If you don’t know your chart, you’ll think you are the chaos.


But when youdo? You realize you’re here totransformit — not stay stuck in it.

For me:


  • Gate 36: intensity, emotional initiation, chaos as the gateway to growth

  • Gate 6: friction, emotional openness, tension as transformation

  • Both are initiatory. But neither are meant to be home.

When you don’t know what you’re running on, you’ll call it personality.


But it’s just a pattern — one that can be reprogrammed.


What I'm building now is from peace, not panic.

I’m no longer pulling from adrenaline.


I’m no longer seeking permission.


I’m no longer proving.

I’m creating from clarity, alignment, and internal authority.


And I want more women to feel that.

This is where The Midlife Reclamation Project is being born — not as a coaching program, but as a sacred reset space where we decondition, remember, and rebuild from the inside out.
